New favorite product

I hope you can get this where you live. My new favorite product is Allegro Marinades. I use the Hickory Smoke one. I marinade my steaks, then grill them on a gas grill and they taste like they came from a charcoal grill. I love it!!!! You can find their products here as well as a locator. Try it out!

*I am in no way affiliated with Allegro, and they did not send me anything to make this blog post. :) This is completely my opinion.

yesterday's shopping trip

Ok, yesterday............was a long day. Like freakishly long. I had a bunch of UP rewards to spend, so first I went to Rite Aid. I got:

3 packs of Skittles, on sale for .50 each and used (3) .25 VV (video values) coupons= .75/3 (I think I also had a $1 coupon but I don't remember on how many- which would have been slight overage)
6 Alka Seltzer powders $5 each- (5) $3 coupons = $12/6
2 Samy Hair products, BOGOF $4.99/2, used (2) $2 VV coupons= .99/2
2 king sized Twix bars $1.59 BOGOF= $1.59
1 Pet rock (don't ask) $1.49
I also used a $5/$25 coupon
$1 VV (general) coupon
7 UP rewards

I paid $3.71 OOP and received $24 in UP rewards

***************************

Walgreens was my next stop. I bought:

1 AirWick candle $3.99, used $2 coupon= $1.99
3 Mentos gum with in-ad coupon .99 each, used (3) $1 coupons= FREE plus .03 overage
1 Trident Layers with in ad coupon .99, used .75 coupon= .24
2 Purex 3-in-one sheets $4.50 each, used (2) $3 coupons= $3/2
1 Contact Cold and Flu $6.00
1 Colgate sensitive $3.49
3 rolls Scotch tape with in-ad coupon .49 each (I needed tape and this was my filler because 1 coupon covers all 3, so other coupons can attach to the other 2)

I also used previous RR in the amounts of $2.60 and $8
I paid $7.23 including tax
I received:
$1 RR for candle
$1 RR for Purex
$6 RR for Contact
$3.50 RR for Colgate

********************************

My other coupon stop was Walmart. I can't say I found INCREDIBLE deals, but I got some ok ones:

3 Yakisoba noodle trays .48 each, used (3) .50 coupons= .06 overage
2 White Cloud toilet paper packs $2.00 each, used (2) $1.00 coupons= 2/$2
1 Finish dishwasher detergent $4.42- $1.50 coupon=$2.92
1 Hefty trash bags (Eco-something) $2.86-$1.00 coupon= $1.86
1 SeaPack shrimp poppers $1.58-$1 coupon= .58
2 Gain dish detergents .97 each, used (2) $1 coupons = .06 overage
1 Idahoan potatoes singles $2.48- $1 coupon= $1.48

Cottonelle wipes tub $2.74, used FREE coupon= FREE
4 Kotex liners, clearance .75 each, used (2) $2/2 coupons=$1.00 overage

******************************

I am pretty satisfied with how it turned out. :)
I guess I'm going to venture back to Kroger in the next day or two. I had stopped going much because they are kind of ticking me off with the coupon thing. First, it was only 3 like coupons per order, and other stores (Food Lion <3)>:(

shopping this week

It's been a little nutty this week with the kids home from school for fall break. I haven't done a ton, but I did get in on a few deals:

Walmart:

4 Kotex liners .94/each, used (2) $2/2 coupons= .24 overage
1 pkg Avery labels $4, used $5/1 coupon= $1.00 overage
Olay bar soap $2.48- $2 coupon (sent to me from someone) $.48
Garnier Herbashine Haircolor, clearance $3.50, used $3 coupon= .50

Walgreens:

1 Halls Refresh $1.00, got $1 RR
1 Noxema razors $3.99, used .75 coupon= $3.24, got back $3 RR
2 Nivea bodwashes for men $9, used (2) $1 coupons and 1 previous $3 RR= $4, got $4 RR (needed filler)

Then I took the $2 coupon out of the razors and did that deal again.

Rite Aid: Yep, I went.
Some of the Sinful nail polish was ringing up .99, some $1.99, although it was all marked $1.99. Nail polishes are BOGO1/2 off, so the .99 ones were ringing up one at .99 and one at .50, but you got back $1 in UP rewards for every one purchased. I bought several and received an UP for each one. I went back today, but I kind of screwed up.
I decided to buy the colors I wanted, clearance or not, and picked up 6. I also picked up 2 bags of M&M's Fun packs. (2/$4, with $1 UP back) I forgot one of the colors in the basket though. In the end, I bought 5, 2 M&M's. I used (2) $1 M&M coupons, and 7 $1 UPs, paid $1.55 OOP and got back 6 $1 UPS

Food Lion:
The best deal I got there this week were the Ronzoni Garden Delights pasta on sale for $1 each with the $1 blinkie in front of them. All were free.

Have a great shopping day!

There is a $1.50 UPS reward on Nyquil/Dayquil. Someone told me that the Sinex counts and there is a $4 coupon out (it's on sale $4.99) I have not verified this myself.

Since I don't do much in the way of RA so far, (I'm easing into it :P) Maven of Saven posted the coupon match ups here.

Just go into your account settings and set everything to private if you are worried about that. :) Be sure when you do set up a Facebook, you like me here to get stuff posted on your wall.

Have a great shopping day!
