Walgreens is looking good!

Walgreens has a lot of FREE after RR this coming week. Some are all week, and some start on Wednesday.

Here are some that might be a good deal for you:

Dulcolax Balance is $10 with a $10 RR, use this coupon for a $4 profit!

Dove Hair Care is $4, with a $4 RR. Use this coupon for a $2 profit!

Denteck Floss and Simply Saline are both free after RR and there have been recent $1 coupons out on both, making them moneymakers as well.

One a Day vitamins are free after RR

On Wednesday, Revlon Fantasy Lashes will be $5.99. There is a $1 coupon out and a $5 coupon in the April coupon book available at the store, making it FREE.

Who doesn't love free stuff? And who doesn't REALLY love to be paid for taking things out of the store?!

****************************

I'm not totally impressed with Kroger this coming week. I'm not sure it's a "rush out there" week. There is a lot of meat on sale, so if you need that, go for it.

I did notice Sister Schubert's dinner rolls are on sale 2/$5, and there is a .50 coupon out today which will double and make them $1.50 each. I LOVE LOVE LOVE these.

*****************************

The week after this one is spring break. My kids will be home during the day, so my thought process might be hindered a bit. I hope that I can still come up with good grocery plans and execute them. I am used to having some alone time. :) They don't go with me to the store so I will have to settle for that. I am the kind of gal that NEEDS some alone time, and I thank God for it, because it makes me a better mom.

I need to comment on something that has been bothering me today. There are several different approaches to parenting. If mine isn't the same as yours, that's ok. Each person is different, each child is different. I love my kids dearly, and they are happy, healthy children and that's all that matters. I think it's a shame women need to sit back and pass judgement on each other a lot of the time. We (most of us) are women, we should be lifting each other up and offering support and love, not trying to make someone feel bad because they don't do things like you would do them.

In our house, we try to tackle a lot of things with humor. We fight, we make up, we joke, we love, we spend time together, and we spend time apart. My goal in this life is to raise happy, well-adjusted, God loving, family loving, independent children. And if they're thrifty, well, all the better.

I know this isn't normal for my blog, but I am one of those gals that needs to get things off my aging chest. You all are special people, and I thank you for being a part of my life and my blog. :)

Have a fantastic shopping day.

Mac and cheese anyone?

I was doing a little shopping at Food Lion the other day, and one of the employees came over and handed me these FL/Kraft booklets. They run out on March 30th. I already had some, but when she handed them to me, she told me if I wanted, I could use the $1/5pack Kraft macaroni and cheese on the single boxes of the Deluxe Macaroni. (Most places will probably not let you do that, but since she old me I could, I jumped on it) Food Lion's price on Kraft Deluxe? $1.40. I bought 6 for .40 each! (And still bought a 5 pack of the other because my kids LOVE it. Seriously. If my 5 year old doesn't have it, it's a battle)

When I got to the checkout, I hear the front manager tell the cashiers to push the Reese's eggs. Apparently, they have a lot. So, she asked me and I said yes, then turned to her manager and said in a joking tone, "See how good she is at her job?" Being friendly sometimes pays off. The cashier gave me a $5 Smithfield coupon that someone had given her! Now, I'd have been friendly anyway, because there's really no reason not to, but that made my day! (Yes, I know it takes very little to please me.)

In the end, I got 6 boxes of Deluxe mac and cheese, 5 boxes of reg. mac and cheese, FL brand onion soup mix (the real reason I had gone to FL), 2 Reeses eggs, 1 Jennie-O italian sausage pack (marked down $2.09-$1 coupon), 2 Kraft singles (- 2 $1 coupons), 1 FL chopped ham lunch meat (marked down $1.75), and some Chinet napkins (marked down .99 - $1 coupon) for ....drumroll please...$12.13

If Food Lion ever starts doubling coupons, I may never leave.

I have my Kroger receipt, but now I have forgotten what was on the sale and what wasn't!! I am having a LOT of blonde days lately. Here are some of the things I'm sure of:

Classico sauces (used .50 coupons) FP .49 each
Bumblebee tuna (bought 4, used one $1/2 coupon because it's all I had) FP .24 each
Coke product 2 liters (bought 3, used a $1/3 coupon) FP .46 each
TGIF anytizers (used $1 coupon) FP $1.79
Kraft cheese (bought 6, used $1/2 coupons) FP $1.17 each
Wesson Oil (used .35 coupon doubled) FP $1.29
A1 Steak sauce $2.49, but used $1 Beef wyb A1 coupon

Those were some of the best ones that trip anyway. I did get 2 Snickers bars free. They were .50 each and I had a .50/2 coupon, which doubled

The importance of a up to date coupon box...

Geez I have been slacking on my coupons. With the move and everything, I haven't gone through and added many new coupons, nor have I taken out all of the expired ones. What a mess!!! I went to the store a couple of times last week and nearly lost my mind. (For those that know me, you know that I've lost most of it already.) I have, in the past week, stood in front of displays, coupons fanned out in my hands in front of me, on the brink of tears, but I still managed to get in on some deals. So, take it from me, make it easier on yourself and go through your box/binder/whatever you have regularly.

Also, I think I need a t-shirt...something that says on the back "I have LOTS of coupons". Sometimes, I think some of the people behind me are going to be the ones having nervous breakdowns. It's interesting...seeing reactions. Some people are impatient, and some actually stand behind me, cheering me on. It makes a coupon Mama proud. :)

One of the best deals I got this week was from Food Lion. They had Jennie-O ground turkey BOGOF, which means they ring up 1/2 off. Some of these are already taco flavored or italian flavored so you can add them to meals easily. WELL, they were originally $4, making them $2 with the sale, and they had $1 peelies on them!!! Of course, I bought a bunch. Any time I can find a great deal on meat, I am all over it. I also found some short-dated honey ham Budding Deli cuts marked to $1.24 and I had $1 coupons.

At Walmart, I found some Tennessee Titans Fusion razors on clearnance for $3, and I had $4 coupons, making them free with profit. I found 2 boxes of hair color on clearance for $1 each, and used 1 $2 off coupon to get them both free.

The deal at Krogers, buy 8 items and get $4 off is still good this week. I will post my deals from last week if and when I find my stupid receipt. I swear those things run from me. There is also an upcoming Catalina deal on Betty Crocker potatoes:

Buy 1, get .50 OYNO
Buy 2, get $1.50 OYNO
Buy 3 or more, get $3 OYNO.

There are usually coupons out for these, as well as some on Cellfire and/or Shortcuts.

Target has Target coupons for Connect 4. Use it and the coupon from yesterday's paper to get it free. The other ones will get you the games for next to nothing. These would be good for Easter, birthdays, or even to set back for Christmas. You can also check here.

Sign up here to get a free photo book. You do have to pay $8.99 shipping, but it's a $40 value and it's 20 pages, so it would make a great gift.

The April edition of All You will have a coupon for a free Rimmel product, up to $5. You can only redeem it at Walmart.

Tomorrow is free cone day at Ben and Jerry's for those lucky enough to have them. It runs from 12-8.

Campbell's coupons, including $1/2 here.

$10/$30 at Party City through the 31st!

A new GeoTrax DVD is up!

I have written a few companies since we moved.
Cape Cod Potato chips send me a bunch of .55 coupons
Classico sent me 3 .50 coupons and a free Smart Ones entree
SCJohnson sent me a new coupon booklet.

I know I tend to sound obessessed about my coupons, but I'm really not. My goal is to get us food, cleaning, and every day items as cheap as I can, but also to save money. When you feed 3 growing boys, you need to save as much as you can, because they eat like cockroaches. I am trying to utilize more leftovers and that sort of thing as well, too. For instance, we had chicken the other night, and I made the leftovers into chicken salad for lunch the next day.

I am going to try to have a small garden again this year. I really enjoyed canning my own salsa and spaghetti sauce last year. It's starting to get warm again, and I really want to get out there and plant. I wish it would hurry and stay warm a while!

Do you have a blog? If you have a blog that is FAMILY FRIENDLY, add me to your blog roll, send me an email at dimestretchermom@gmail.com and let me know you did it. Once I check it out, I will return the favor! Let's all help each other out!

Kids Bowl free this summer! Check for a participating place near you! They can get 2 free games every day!

Become a fan of Hotwheels on Facebook to get something cool from them...I don't know what it is yet, but that's what they say is coming!

Some Targets have beach towels in the Dollar Spot for $2.50. There are $2 coupons on the website.

I am unsure how to get all of those nifty little buttons running up and down the sides of my blog. I have some, but there are some that I'm not sure about, so if you read me, and you can help me, please let me know. Believe it or not, I'm kinda computer illiterate. LOL

Have a great shopping day!

Food Lion is pretty good today, too. Since we moved, I live basically around the corner from it, and it's dangerous. I keep wanting to slip over there. Here's what I got there today:

**************************

ok, you coffeholics...and you know who you are- Free sample of Dunkin Donuts coffee-

**************************

There is an Amish store a little ways from here and they have all kinds of delicious stuff. They also have scratch and dent, etc. I bought SO much cheap candy there the other day. Never shop when you're hungry. I also bought some fresh bread. It's fresh, and I didn't have to make it. Sounds like a winner to me. Check and see if you have something similar in your area. They usually have yummy stuff!

New Hasbro coupons have arrived!!! (warning- each one will print on a seperate sheet)

Have a great shopping day!
