Batteries at Rite Aid .24 to .49?!
IF you can find them, Duracell 10 packs of AA batteries (UPC 4133304864) and AAA batteries (UPC 4133317064) are ringing up $2.24. Get a price check before you buy anything. They aren't marked and they aren't that price at all stores. Use the $1 coupon from the P&G insert this weekend, and if they have them, the $1 RA peelie on them to get them for .24
Also, there are 20 packs AA (UPC 4133375864) and AAA (UPC
4133301548) ringing up $3.49, use the same coupons and get back a $1 UP, making them .49 Again, maybe you can find them, maybe you can't, but if you can, it's a fantastic deal!)
Editing to add that it seems finding the 10 packs on sale is more widespread than finding the 20 packs, so check both sizes.

What all do you usually get free?
Are there things you just don't pay for? Rarely pay for? Have a maximum amount to pay?
I was telling someone the other day about what I don't usually pay for. Of course, there are some exceptions...if I reallllly need to roll my UPS or RR's...if I REALLLLY like a certain poduct...if it is requested by someone in my household..but generally, I don't pay (or pay BARE minimum OOP for):
shampoo
deodorant
toothpaste
toothbrushes
body wash
soap
razors
I DO pay for it occasionally (but it's rare, and if I do, I pay very very little) I also pay very little for make up, laundry detergent ($2 MAX!), toilet paper, pasta, condiments, hair color, styling aids, etc.
What do you stock up on free or almost free?

Things that upset me...
I have been hearing lots of things lately, couponing related, that just really get to me. Let me tell YOU so you don't make these mistakes:
No, you cannot copy a coupon. You cannot scan it and copy it..you just can't. I've mentioned this before. This includes printables, .pdfs (which are usually unlimited anyway as long as the manufacturer still has them up), Rite Aid Video Values (which are uniquely coded), or any other coupon.
You SHOULD NOT go in to a store like Rite Aid or Walgreens, buy a bunch of the rewards products (UP or RR) and then return the products. I am not saying you can't return ANYTHING, because we all have occasional returns, but if you are buying with the intent to return to get the rewards and cash back....it's wrong. Plain and simple.
You should NOT go in and take 40 of something from the shelf, leaving none for others just because you have 40 coupons. If you must, spread it out over several days and give other people a chance to get deals. Remember, there is always another sale.
Please be courteous and respectful to your cashiers as much as possible. I realize there are some bad cashiers out there. I realize you need to stand up for yourself if something isn't going right. It's just not right, however, to go and be rude and nasty to a cashier just because you CAN.
Remember..we're all in this together. Thanks!

Walgreens policy?
Looking over Walgreens' coupon policy, it states:
"When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.”
The question I have been asked was can you stack the Walgreens coupons in the insert this weekend with the in-ad coupons and according to this policy, it looks like yes. The long and short of it is...I'm not really sure and I'm willing to bet it will be up to the cashier taking your order or management. But, looking at the policy...it looks like you can.

DO NOT DO THIS!!
I have heard all about J’aime Kirlewon Extreme Couponing. I am here to warn you that some of the things she did was considered coupon FRAUD.
**You may NOT copy printed coupons. Generally, you can print 2 per computer, and if you have access to more than one computer, then you can print more, but copying them is a no-no and ILLEGAL.
**You may NOT use one coupon on something completely different. If you use a $4 toilet paper coupon on detergent just because the barcodes match, or because it doesn't "beep", it's still FRAUD.
**You may NOT use expired coupons! Most stores will catch this, but some may not. YOU need to read the date. Of course, sometimes one might get by by accident, but if you knowingly use expired ones, you are WRONG!!
**If the coupon says NO TRIAL SIZE then you may not USE it on trial size. Read the restrictions, please.
I am angry, sad, and disappointed that TLC would put something like that out there for new couponers to see. Personally, I hope now her stores watch her like a hawk. You can save and do it right. All this will do is make things much harder for couponers and we all lose.

What did I buy yesterday?
You know how sometimes you come out of the store with bags...and a receipt and you're just in a daze and can't remember half of what you bought? Just me? Never mind then... According to my receipts, here's what I bought:
Walgreens:
I had RR's to burn and I needed sodas, so I got
4 12 pack of Pepsi products ( 'cause that was what was on sale...I miss my Diet Coke) 4/$13, got a $3 RR
2 packs of Turtles (candy) clearanced for $1.50/box..total impulse buy
1 Colgate toothpaste..this was supposed to be $2.99 with a $2.99RR...I used a .75 coupon, but I just looked at my receipt and it only rang up .75!! I don't know that that deal was...
1 Aussie shampoo and 1 Aussie hair spray..used a BOGOF coupon, got a $2 RR
Paid with RR's and $2.89 OOP (tax was $1.43) and got back $8 in RR
******************************
Rite Aid:
Totally in the daze here...wasn't thinking things through...
there is an UP reward for buying $10 worth of Conair brushes and they are BOGOF..I bought one at $6.49 and got another $6.49 one free, thinking it would put me over the $10, but RA doesn't work that way. The good news is, it's tracking, so I can go buy 2 more cheaper brushes and get the UP, so I'm not sweating it.
Also got 2 Scunci ponytail holders for $1.99, got $1.99 UPs for both...there is a limit of 2 for this reward.
I bought a Gillette Fusion ProGlide gift set for $9.99, used a $5 coupon from a P&G mailer and got back a $4 UP reward.
I used a $3/$15 coupon, UPs to pay, paid $1.51 OOP (tax was $1.05) and got back $8.98 in UPs

Sorry guys
I know I've been slacking on Facebook, but we've been so busy. My husband had a wreck and insurance and all of that is keeping me kind of stressed, plus we are down to one car while his gets fixed, so we've had to swap that out too. and I haven't been doing much shopping. I've also started spring cleaning, and I just haven't been feeling it lately. I will do my best to get some posts up every weekday. :) Bear with me.

Skippy Reduced Fat Peanut Butter recall!!
Here's the link
Unilever Announces Recall of
Skippy® Reduced Fat Peanut Butter Spread Due to Possible Health Risk
Limited Recall of 6 Best-If-Used-By Dates
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – March 4, 2011, Englewood Cliffs, NJ – Unilever United States, Inc. today announced a limited recall of Skippy® Reduced Fat Creamy Peanut Butter Spread and Skippy® Reduced Fat Super Chunk Peanut Butter Spread, because it may be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.
The recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). No other Skippy® products are affected by this recall.
The product was distributed to retail outlets in Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.
The affected product, which is packaged in 16.3 oz plastic jars, is as follows:
• UPCs: 048001006812 and 048001006782 (located on the side of the jar’s label below the bar code.)
• Best-If-Used-By Dates: MAY1612LR1, MAY1712LR1, MAY1812LR1, MAY1912LR1, MAY2012LR1 and MAY2112LR1
(Stamped on the lid of the jar.)
To date, no illnesses related to this issue have been reported.
The recall was initiated as the result of a routine sampling program by the company, which revealed that these finished products may contain the bacteria.
Consumers who have purchased Skippy® Reduced Fat Peanut Butter Spread with the above UPCs and Best-If-Used-By-Dates are urged to discard the product immediately and call the company for a replacement coupon. Consumers can contact the company at 1-800-453-3432, which is operational 24 hours a day, for information on the recall. In addition, a consumer services representative is available Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM EST.

Well......shoot.
So, I had a couple of the Neuragen $10 off coupons that expire today. Someone had sent them to me so I could get the SCR at Rite Aid, so I don't know which insert they were from. Anyway, I am moseying down the aisles at Walgreens and I see them on sale there! $14.99 with a $10 RR!!! Now, I don't have these coupons with me because I thought I only needed the one for my RA. I could have bought one for $4.99 after coupon and gotten back $10. :( Moral of the story.....keep all of your stinkin coupons with you.

Rite Aid, trip 2
So, I found out that I DID have the $6 coupons for the Tylenol Precise and the Motrin and back to Rite Aid I went. My store had plenty of Precise on the shelves. Please take note not to clear the shelves for other shoppers (unless, of course, there are only a couple of something. No need to go wild is what I'm saying.)
I got 3 Tylenol Precise patches $5 each ($15)
3 Tylenol Precise creams $5 each ($15)
4 Motrin PMs $3 each
2 8 packs of Sharpies BOGO50%, so $8.99 and $4.49
1 single sharpie $1.99
I used 5 $6/2 coupons for the Precise and Motrin, paid with ups and $14.92 OOP (I really needed to build up those ups!), got back 6 $3 UPs for the Precise, 4 $2 UPs for the Motrin, 2 $4 UPS for the Sharpie packs and 1 $5 up for spending $15 on the Sharpies, for a total of $39 in Ups. :)
Have a great shopping day!

trip today
Something didn't print right, but I'm not sure what. I think I am 2 $1 UPS short somewhere. Anyway, this is what I got:
4 Barilla pastas (3 reg and one whole grain)
4 Hunts Sauces
2 Hormel Completes
1 Hormel Dinty Moore
1 Blink Tears
1 Motrin PM
3 discounted spic and span cleaning cloths (.50 each)
2 Special K cereals (BOGOF and used a BOGOF coupon, making them both free)
I used a $2 Motrin coupon, $4 Blink coupon (on the package...made it $3.99 and will get $7.99 back on the SCR), .75 off Hormel, and .50video value coupon for Hormel
I paid with ups and $3.49 OOP, got back 14 $1 ups and one $2 UP (Motrin), and will get the $7.99 back in the rebate. EDITED!! After speaking with a couple of other people, it seems the Garlic and Herb Hunts is what is not producing the extra UPs. The Traditional should, but Garlic and Herb did not for other people and I got 2 Traditional and 2 Garlic and Herb, so I think that is where I am short.
******************
Walgreens:
I bought 2 Special K cereals 2/$5 used a BOGOF
1 EOS lip gloss $2.99
1 Go Kids multi vitamin gummies $5
1 Snickers bar .69 (to help the associate become top seller in the district)
Paid with RR's and .70 OOP, got back $2 RR for the cereal, $2 RR for the lip gloss, and $5 for the vitamins.
